Last year around this time, I was planning on attending the summer Farmer's Market in Williamsville.
A Happy Customer and my Helper
It was a fantastic location and such an enjoyable time! Our customers were always in such a great mood and the farmer's brought in the best crops - a great way for me to get my shopping done each week. We enjoyed our time there but this year brings a new plan.
We are excited to open our own farm stand right at the farm here. You'll be able to come on in and purchase soaps and items you couldn't find at the farmer's market because it was simply impossible to carry everything. We're located right near the shores of Lake Ontario in the beautiful Town of Porter. State parks are located nearby as well as Artpark, in Lewiston or you could visit the wineries on the Niagara Wine Trail. Fort Niagara is approx. 15 minutes away too. There is much to see and do so be sure to plan some fun adventures.
We have cold-processed all natural soaps, organic salves and oils, gift sets and more. Classes in soap making will also be offered on occasion.
Keep checking back often to see our hours or call for an appointment. Our online shop is always open.

Nicole
Planning and Waiting
This is February in Western NY right?
We have had such a mild winter this year. Where has all the snow been?
Oh, I know it's only February...careful what you wish for and all that jazz but...we're a hearty lot in WNY. We look forward to the snow which means lots of skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and bundling up in front of the fireplace with our loved ones and a mug of hot cocoa.
As if we need a reason to cuddle up and do nothing but relax and enjoy our families.
This year has been different. It has given me a chance to get to know our property though - to look at the existing beds and decide what needs changed. This will be a very busy Spring and Summer. We plan on building the year- round greenhouses by hand using reclaimed wood. In fact, most of our summer projects will be focused on finding the most efficient and eco- friendly options around. Raised beds...orchard started as well as continued work on the soap barn.
By no means does this mean it is the best or only way to do things. We're just a suburban family who decided to start a farm. From the ground up. The only way we know how - through trial and error. ok - mostly error:)
And that's the fun part! I get to share that journey with you. We'll share some of the triumphs and loads of disasters too! To make you laugh and sometimes shake your head at us.
I'll share products, sales and information. And I invite you to share your ideas as well. After all, the most important part of this is the sharing!
Peace, Love & Harmony,
Nicole
A Mention in Everyday with Rachel Ray
Picture this...
You are relaxing on a Sunday afternoon and reading one of your fave magazines - Everyday with Rachel Ray.
And then...
You turn the page.
And there...right in front of you...in print...in the magazine you are holding...
you see it.
A mention of one of the products you make for MaryJane's Farm
Farm Fresh Egg Soaps
And it's on their list of Faves!! Talk about excitement! Not just for us but also for MaryJane's Farm, simply one of my favorite places to visit online. An amazing company, good stewards of the earth...fun to work with and a supporter of small, rural businesses like mine.
Stop on over to MaryJane's Farm where you'll find exclusive products made just for them by my company, Cottonwood Herbals. You'll also find books, food, clothing and more.
Have a great rest of your weekend!
Peace, Love & Harmony,
Nicole
